Carmen Deriso sent us this information on his brother-in-law in
January of 2012.  According to the documents, it appears Vincent was put on active duty on September 12, 1945 and served for almost one full year and was discharged on August 16, 1946.  Vincent was in the
Naval Reserves and was called to duty once again on February 28, 1952 and he served until September 11, 1953 during the Korean War on board the ship the USS Salem CA-139.
